“I Am A Man” Exhibit Opening

The “I Am A Man” exhibit opened in the African American Cultural Center Gallery on January 16. The exhibit offers a collection of artwork and virtual reality experience by NC State students of professors Dr. Derek Ham and Scott Townsend, and the exhibit explores the Memphis Sanitation Workers’ Strike of 1968 and the events leading up to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s death. The exhibit will be open until February 4.

Student Government is hosting a Student Fees Town Hall in the Currituck-Hatteras Ballroom on Tuesday, January 22 from 6:00 to 7:45 PM. The event will feature representatives from the campus entities to whom we as students pay the largest fees: Transportation, Wellness and Recreation, Student Centers Operations, Student Health, and the Education and Technology Fee.

Kwanzaa 2018 Celebration

The African American Cultural Center hosted the 2018 Kwanzaa celebration on Thursday, Dec. 6 in Witherspoon Campus Cinema. The program featured performances by Uninhibited Praise Gospel Choir, AACC artist in residence Willie Hinton, and the National Pan-Hellenic Council.
