The Greeks – Greek Life is important to Black and Multicultural communities. Here you will find the councils that preside over these communities. They all do amazing work and promote community through their presence on campus.


The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) -They are a collaborative organization of nine historically Black International Greek-lettered fraternities and sororities. Their primary purpose is to create solidarity and maintain a commitment to service in the communities they serve.

The DanceVisions team dance in unity at the DanceVisions Company 42nd Annual Spring Concertin Kennedy-Mcllwee Studio Theatre on Friday, April 12.


The Creatives – These groups use their creative talents in expressive ways, and put on fun events that bring everyone together. 


DanceVisions – DanceVisions is a student-performing dance company organized in 1977 by three African American female students who wanted to continue dancing while in college. The focus of DanceVisions is to offer a unique extracurricular activity for the entire student body.

The Hip Hop Project – A group for DJ’s, producers and MC’s. The group holds events that pull together the creative artistic talents of individuals on campus and beyond.

Jayla Davis dances during the 28th annual Pow-wow on Saturday, April 7, 2018 in Carmichael Gymnasium at NC State University. The annual NC State Pow-Wow is hosted by the Native American Student Association and has vendors, dance contests, and a drum contest, all in celebration of Native American heritage and culture.


The Pride – Show pride for your homeland with these groups. They represent their culture and community proudly.


African Student Union (ASU) – This organization promotes African culture on campus. They stress the importance of scholarship, service and overall enlightenment of African culture.

Asian Students Association – A cultural organization that promotes cultural awareness for the Asian community on campus.

Black Students Board – The Black Students Board aims to foster a sense of unity among students of the African diaspora. They host events throughout the year to bring the community together. Most notably they host the annual Pan-Afrikan week.

Carribean Student Association (CSA) – This organization seeks to increase knowledge and awareness of Caribbean cultures on campus. CSA promotes unity amongst all who share an interest in learning about Caribbean culture.
