Welcome Back NC State Community!

I hope you all had a sensational summer filled with vacation, internships, summer school, and somewhere in midst of all that excitement, found time to prepare for what will be a phenomenal 2013-14 academic year at our beloved NC State University! Since 1989, the Afrikan American Student Advisory Council (AASAC) have served as the umbrella to all 30+ Afrikan or Afrikan American students organizations on our campus. As Chairperson this year, incoming and returning students will not only see a NEW AASAC but will also experience a NEW sense of collaboration, engagement, fellowship, and service within our community!

This year, AASAC brings to you the introduction of our NEW Twitter account and Universal Calendar! Want to know about the latest news? Don’t want to be out of the loop? Well, be sure to FOLLOW us at @NCSU_AASAC for daily events, updates, fun facts, and information about what’s happening and impacting OUR community on campus and abroad. In addition, in the bio section of our twitter account, you will find the NEW Universal Calendar in order to see ahead of time about any scheduled, upcoming programs from all 30+ AASAC student organizations! Lastly, check out the roster of all the AASAC student organizations and your respective AASAC class representatives within this paper; utilize them, we are all here for YOU!

AASAC is here to act as a resource for you and to ensure the academic, professional, and social development of the Afrikan and Afrikan-American community here at NC State.
